Re-work to customer's existing 50L Carboy

Below are photo's of a customer's 50L carboy that NMS repaired along with adding new features.

NMS replaced the damaged 1½" TC (outlet) located at the bottom of the carboy.

NMS removed the threaded neck, replacing it with a fusion welded 3" USP PP sanitary fitting. A 3" USP PP end cap was given a 1½" TC x pipe & a ¾" TC x pipe, both angled to promote vortex, ending at the 10L mark in the carboy. One (1) 3/8" hose barb installed as a vent.

NMS received the top drawing via facsimile from LPS and was asked to fabricate a polypropylene rinse bin based on that drawing. This sketch is not typical of original concept drawings NMS receives, but shows how an idea can transform into actual product. The bottom three pictures are of the finished rinse bin.

More Stackable Bag Retainers (50L & 100L)

Pictured above are NMS custom fabricated polypropylene bag retainers. NMS offers a 50L stackable version, but the 50L in the forefront of the top photo was requested to be non-stackable in order to stay within the boundaries of a scale platform. The four 100L retainers pictured above are all stackable; the 2nd photo gives a view of the holes in base that interlock with the top of the push/pull handles.

Stackable Polypropylene Bag Retainers

NMS 200L Stackable Bag Retainers pictured above. These were designed to stack two high without liquid (1st picture) for storage purposes to expand floor space while they are not in use. The handles of the bottom retainer fit into holes in the base of the top retainer. This removes the probability of the top retainer sliding or falling off of the bottom retainer. The 2nd photo shows the retainers in media prep.

Bioreactor Hose Supports

A customer of NMS has 2000L bioreactors that hold biomedia bags. These bags have many hoses that become entangled when the bag is filled which makes them difficult to differentiate. We designed a hose support that gave the customer the ability to hang and organize the hoses without the need of tools or hardware.

Custom Fabricated PP Drip Tray

Except for the size, 60"L x 35"W x 24"H, drip trays are a common NMS item. This drip tray is made out of 1/2" polypropylene (PP) sheet and the end user wanted to incorporate handles built into the walls.

250G Polyethylene Slurry Tank

In this photo, NMS custom fabricated a cover, which included a locking access port with handle, center mixer flange with a mixer support package, and stainless flange X TC adapters. The cover seals to the tank with a 1/2" diameter o-ring style EPDM gasket.

We opened our operation in Millbury, MA August 2006, and relocated to a new facility June 2009. NMS employs over twenty years of plastic fabrication experience.
